The cat is is sitting above a cuckoo clock. In his hands he is holding a knife and fork. He is wearing a bib. He is poised waiting for the cuckoo bird to come out in 5 minutes, at 7 o’clock.

The humour lies in the fact that a cuckoo bird does not make a nice meal for the poor pussy cat!

All that waiting for the o’clock has been in vain!
