Phil Judd Wins in Cartoon Competition

Phil Judd came runner up (Merit)  in the 'Tying the Knot' Category for the Annual Rotary Cartoon Competition. The cartoon was among  a number submitted to the competition. The winning cartoon is on the right.

The awards night was held a couple of weekends ago in beautiful Coffs Harbour. Phil won a nice amount of money and a Bronze medallion.

The competition had ten different categories with over 700 different cartoonists submitting work for the prizes. The awards have over $10,000.00 of prizes available each year. It is supported by the Australian Rotary Club and the Bunker Cartoon Gallery (Australia's only cartoon gallery with one of the biggest collections of original cartoons in the world).

Phil won first prize in the 'Sporting' category a few years ago. He enjoys entering it every year with around ten to twenty submissions each time to the various categories.

Pet Therapy: Sunday Telegraph Newspaper

Comic Express is proud to announce a new comic strip called Pet Therapy.

Pet Therapy is a comic strip looking at all things pets. It centres around Tony, who owns a pet store and his son, Louie, who is the local vet.

Along the way we see a wide variety of pets and their owners turning up.
This strip celebrates pets and the joy they bring to their owners.

Everyone at some point has had a pet, so we all relate to what a pet brings into our lives. The big question pet owners ask themselves at least once or twice in life is who really owns who?

Characters
Tony owns a pet store. He is fourth generation pet store owner. He knows animals and how not to get bitten. Mind you, he's learnt from bitter experience because of being bitten by every animal he could find.

Louie is Tony's son. He grew up in the pet store and his love for animals has led him to be a vet. He repairs the animals. The only question is, who repairs him after he repairs the animals?

Usage
Pet Therapy would suit any publication, newsletter or website that has anything to do with pets, such as Veterinary Clinics, Pet Stores, Pet Clubs, Pet Magazines and Animal Training Organisations.

Comic Express is also able to create a gag cartoons, comic strips or clip art to suit the individual needs of each client.

A sample gallery of Pet Therapy is available to clients interested in using it for their Pet orientated magazines and in general print media eg newspapers. Just email us for the link to view some samples..
